The 2020 Toyota Camry has arrived at our local Toyota dealership near Mercer Pittsburgh Hubbard, and it brings with it some big changes. An all-wheel drive option will now be offered with the Camry, and Toyota is introducing a performance-oriented trim called the TRD—Toyota Racing Development. The Camry gets support for Android Auto and Amazon Alexa this year, and since Apple CarPlay was added last year, that means just about every smartphone around can link up with your infotainment system. The Camry also boasts a roomy cabin, ample trunk space, a smooth ride and superior safety ratings.
There are five distinct body colors available for the 2020 Toyota Camry near Pittsburgh. There is also the SE Nightshade edition, which boasts its own distinct exterior. The upper trims all have their own exterior styling elements that distinguish them from the others. This is most apparent with the range-topping TRD, which boasts an aerodynamic and eye-catching body kit. The Camry gives you 15.4 cubic feet of storage space, which is accessible via the trunk. If you have the 60/40-split folding rear bench, which is included with the LE and up, you can fold that seat down to claim additional capacity.
Each 2020 Toyota Camry features a central infotainment system with a touchscreen and rearview camera. The LE adds the aforementioned split-folding back seat as well as a power-adjustable seat for the driver. The SE upgrades the upholstery to simulated leather. The XSE and XLE includes premium leather upholstery as well as heating for the front seats. A cold weather package adds seat heating throughout the vehicle, a heated steering wheel and heated side mirrors.
The standard engine for the 2020 Toyota Camry near Pittsburgh is a 2.5L four-cylinder. It is rated for 203 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque. There is also a 3.5L V6 that is available with the XSE and XLE and standard with the TRD. It makes an impressive 301 hp and 267 lb.-ft. Toyota pairs both of these engines with a sophisticated eight-speed automatic transmission. The standard Camry is a front-wheel-drive sedan, but Toyota is now offering all-wheel drive for the first time since 1991. Currently, AWD is only available with the base LE, but Toyota is expected to expand availability eventually. The SE, XSE and TRD are all driving-centric trims. The SE differs from the LE in that it has a leather-wrapped steering wheel with paddle shifters, a sports-tuned suspension and a sports-tuned steering system. The XSE adds a larger and more customizable driver information display, and the TRD adds drive-selectable modes, a more sophisticated cruise control system, a racing suspension and performance brakes.
Toyota Safety Sense is standard equipment with the Camry. TSS includes automatic high beams, cruise control, a pre-collision system, pedestrian detection and lane departure alert with steering assist. A blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert is available starting with the second-tier trim and becomes standard equipment later in the lineup. The central infotainment system features Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and a USB sport. An optional group upgrades the touchscreen to an 8-inch display and adds a wireless charging pad. You can opt for integrated navigation as well. An audio option upgrades you to a premium nine-speaker JBL audio system and includes the optional group with the touchscreen upgrade.
The 2020 Toyota Camry near Pittsburgh is offered in six distinct trims—L, LE, SE, XLE, XSE, TRD—and there are Diehl Toyota of Hermitage specials available for all of them. The L is the base model but well-equipped for the class, including Toyota Safety Sense and a 7-inch HD color touchscreen. The LE builds on the base model with upgraded seating and a couple more USB ports. The SE is a sportier trim and adds sport-oriented suspension and steering tuning in addition to more creature comforts. The XLE and XSE are essentially enhanced versions of the LE and SE and include standard many of the options available with the lower trims. The TRD is new for the 2020 model year and gets unique badging and more aerodynamic body styling as well as a TRD suspension, performance brakes and much more.
