This year, the Toyota Highlander is back and better than ever. It gets a wealth of impressive changes inside and out, complete with a dazzling new look and an array of top-notch interior features. Consumers can now see the updated Highlander that sports a full design change. Attention to detail is apparent in the change, which includes the addition of more cargo room behind the third row. The 2020 Toyota Highlander in Hermitage has a beautiful, state-of-the-art exterior. The new design change brings a bold, modern, and stunning new look to the car from every angle. The front end features a sloping hood with a prominent front grille. Sweeping LED headlights give the Highlander a dramatic look from the front end. The Toyota emblem sits prominently in the middle of the grille. Fog lights are standard on the higher trims, starting with the LE. LED headlights are standard on the base trim, while you can opt for brighter lights up the lineup. The base trim and LE have many of the same exterior features. Progressing to the XLE, however, which is the third trim level, brings a few more changes, including roof rails. Larger 20-inch wheels are standard on the Limited.
Inside, the 2020 Toyota Highlander gets an updated cabin filled with all the amenities you could want. While there are many standard features on all trims, you can also add on a number of features, too. At a minimum, the infotainment display screen comes in a standard size of eight inches, which is very reasonable for a vehicle in the Highlander’s class. Also this year, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay come standard for the first time across the board. The Highlander adds more luxury features and creature comforts as you go. All trims are also more spacious due to the addition of 13.8 cubic feet behind the third row of seats. By the time you get to the highest trim level, which is the Platinum, the Highlander comes standard with a larger 12.3-inch infotainment system and a full leather interior. A number of seating fabrics and seating materials are available across the lineup to give your Highlander a comfortable feel and stylish look.
The 2020 Toyota Highlander in Hermitage is well-equipped with a powerful, sporty, and capable mechanical system. This year, all trims of the Toyota Highlander share the same engine, which is the V6 that was previously available in the last model year. With the new engine, even the base model gets an extra boost of power. Now, all five trims of the Highlander come standard with a V6 engine that produces up to 295 HP and 263 LB-FT of torque. All trims have the same eight-speed automatic transmission as well. Front-wheel drive comes standard on all Highlander trims, while all-wheel drive is available. The standard edition of the Highlander has a gasoline-powered engine, but a hybrid edition of the Highlander is also available.
Safety and technology are plentiful in all trims of the 2020 Highlander. All versions of the Highlander are equipped with advanced safety belts, traction control, and vehicle stability control. Toyota’s safety system of driver-assist aids, which is called Safety Sense 2.0, adds a number of standard safety tools such as forward collision warning and adaptive cruise control. Additional features added up the line include rear cross-traffic alert and blind-spot monitoring. At a minimum, you’ll get an eight-inch infotainment display screen for entertainment. The top trim gets a 12.3-inch display screen with a head-up display and a panoramic backup camera.
The 2020 Toyota Highlander comes in five trim levels. The base model is called the L. Even at this level, you’ll find a spacious, comfortable, and amenity-filled interior. The base trim also has a three-zone climate control and LED headlights. The LE adds a power-operated liftgate and LED fog lights. A leather-wrapped steering wheel adds a luxurious touch. The XLE follows with a sunroof and captain’s chairs in the second row. Heated front seats are a welcome feature in colder weather. The Limited gets a premium sound system and climate-controlled seats throughout the year. It also has leather upholstery. The Platinum gets a larger touchscreen and surround-view camera.
